Town Council

The Town Council’s mission is to provide public services and government representation for the community and to insure public welfare and safety of all visitors, residents, schools, and business in the Town of Whiteland.

The Town Council consists of five members. These members are elected by the citizens of Whiteland to serve in their best interests. Click here to see the Town Council informational brochure.

Some members of the council were sworn at a special meeting on December 31, 2011 by the Whiteland Clerk-Treasurer. Their new term starts on January 1, 2012 and expires on December 31, 2015.

Members of the Council are:

  • Ed Tichenor –Ward 1 – Member
  • Chris Hadley –Ward 2 – Member
  • Roger Ford –Ward 3 – Member
  • Kent Beeson –At-Large – Vice President
  • Robert Zehr –At-Large – President

The Town Manager is Dennis Capozzi. The Town Manager is appointed by the Town Council to run the day-to-day operations of the Town and recommend actions to the Town Council, Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Storm Water Management Board, and the Whiteland Redevelopment Commission he considers advisable.

The Town Council meets the second Monday of each month. The public is invited. See Town Meetings Schedule for more information.

The Whiteland Clerk-Treasurer is Michelle Richards. The Clerk’s term of office is from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015. The Clerk-Treasurer’s phone number is (317) 535-5531 x 223.
