Town of Whiteland Awarded Grant
The Town of Whiteland has been awarded a grant form recovery.gov and the Indiana Office of Energy Development to upgrade the lighting in the Whiteland Town Hall/Police Department, Whiteland Street Department and the Whiteland Wastewater Treatment Plant. In addition to these lighting upgrades, the Town has sponsored 
the re-lighting of The Whiteland Community High School Gymnasium and the Whiteland Elementary Gymnasium. The Town has also been awarded a grant to upgrade the heating and cooling equipment in the Whiteland Town Hall/Police Department, Whiteland Street Department and the Whiteland Wastewater Treatment Plant. The total dollars for both the lighting and heating and cooling grants is $164,343.00. The work to accomplish this will be starting about August1, 2010 and has to be completed by December 31, 2010.
